江戸川消防署の「まちかど防災訓練」体験！

6/26(日)に小松川公園で開催された江戸川消防署主催の「まちかど防災訓練」に参加してきました。

このイベントでは、日本でも数すくない貴重なVR車や起震車などの体験ができます。当日は、VR車体験が一番人気で早い時間には列ができていました。

私たちは、学習支援で日本語を学んでくれている中国人の親子と参加しましたが、外国人の参加も多く、インドやスリランカ人の家族連れのかたがいらっしゃいました。

起震車に乗ってみてちょっと驚いたのは、ヘルメット無し起震車の部屋のテーブルの足が固定されていないことでした。これまで経験がない最高震度7に挑戦してみたのですが、実際に近い状況の体験で頭を守るのにちょっと真剣になりました。(江戸川区の隣の江東区の訓練ではあり得えない体験でした)。

今回、VR車は地震のビデオでしたが、参加してくれた小学校4年生の女の子は、「死ぬ程怖かった。でも、二年生の弟を次回何とか塾に行かずに連れて来て体験させたい。とても良かった。起震車もテーブル固定無しの体験で、同じく超怖かった！」と言ってました。
 

江戸川区では、VR車、起震車などの体験ができるイベント毎月開催されています。ちなみに次回は7月10日に東部交通公園で開催されます。

外国語ボランティア江戸川では、このイベントを外国人の方へご案内し、外国人の方が参加される場合には、現地サポートをさせていただく予定です。

On June 26 (Sun.), we participated in the "Machikado Fire Drill" organized by the Edogawa Fire Department at Komatsugawa Park.

At this event, visitors can experience a VR car and a seismic simulation vehicle.
The VR car was especially popular and there was a line early in the day.

We participated in the event with a Chinese family who are learning Japanese through our study support program. Many foreigners also participated, including Indian and Sri Lankan families.

First, we were surprised that the table legs in the car were not secured in the earthquake simulation car without a helmet! We tried to experience a seismic intensity of 7, but the experience was so close to the actual situation.All we could do was to protect our head.

This time, the VR car provided a video of an earthquake, and a 4th grade elementary school girl who participated said, "I was scared to death. But I want to bring my younger brother, who is in the second grade, to experience it next time instead of going to cram school. It was very good. The earthquake simulator experience was super scary ,too"

Edogawa Ward holds monthly events where visitors can experience VR cars and earthquake simulation vehicles. The next event will be held on July 10 at the Eastern Traffic Park.

Foreign Language Volunteer Edogawa will guide foreigners to this event and provide on-site support if foreigners attend.

ヨガ体験参加してきました

 

6月19日に、Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) Japan 様が開催されたヨガ体験に参加してきました。

江戸川ボランティアセンターでこのイベントのご紹介をいただきました。江戸川区には多く外国の方が住んでいらっしゃり、色々ばイベントが実施されています。その中でもHSS様は、ヨガをはじめ多くの活動を実施されています。ヨガが初めてということもあり、今回、とても楽しみにいってみました。

会場となっていたIndian International Schoolの体育館には多くの方がいらっしゃいました。ほとんどは、インドの方と思われるかたでしたが、中には日本人と思しき方も・・・　
バックミュージックも、インドっぽい音楽で、気分は異国でした。

ヨガは壇上中央の先生が英語でインストラクションをしてくださり、逐次で日本語の翻訳が入ったので、初めての私でもなんとかついていけました。今は海外旅行が難しいですが、日本の中の国際交流いいですね。

お知らせ：ゆかたで七夕お茶会

 

 えがおで日本語サロン様との共創で、7月16日に「ゆかたで七夕お茶会」を実施予定です。

ゆかたに着替えていただいた後、七夕飾り作りつくりをします。折り紙で伝統的な七夕飾りを作り、それぞれの飾りの作り方や込められた意味を学んだり、短冊を作って願い事を書いたりします。そのあと、七夕飾りをみながら、浴衣でお茶席を楽しみます。今回は立礼席でのお茶会です。

We will hold a "Tanabata Tea Ceremony in Yukata" on July 16th in collaboration with "Egao de Nihongo Salon".

After wearing yukata, we will make Tanabata decorations. Participants will make traditional Tanabata decorations with origami paper and learn how to make and the meaning of each TTanabata decoration, and write their wishes on tanzaku strips.
After that, we will enjoy a tea ceremony in yukata viewing the Tanabata decorations. This time, the tea ceremony will be held in the Ryurei style.

"Foreign Language Volunteers Edogawa" is a volunteer group working in Tokyo.

We offer Japanese cultural experiences such as tea ceremony, kimono dressing, origami and calligraphy, and guided tours to foreign residents and visitors to Japan.
