✨Iaido Experience – Traditional Japanese Martial Art✨
We had an amazing opportunity to experience Iaido, one of Japan’s traditional martial arts, under the guidance of a master (7th Dan, Muso Shinden-ryu).
This session was joined by international residents in the area 🌏
It was actually my first time too—and truly unforgettable!
After changing into uniforms, we started with a formal bow.
“In Japan, everything begins and ends with respect.”
Even the smallest movements have meaning—
like placing the left hand first when bowing to stay prepared and protected.
We watched a demonstration of the “Shohattō,”
and felt the beauty of “Jo-Ha-Kyu” (beginning, break, rapid flow).
But when we tried it ourselves…
just drawing the sword was already a challenge 😅
A great reminder of how important practice and discipline are!
Still, with repetition, we slowly improved.
We finished with photos and a final bow 📸
Not just learning movements, but also the spirit behind them—
such a meaningful and special experience ✨
